Mount Meru Trek (5 Days – Slow Acclimatization)
Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania

Day 2: Arusha – Momella Gate – Forest Trek – Miriakamba Hut
Start trekking through rainforest and open savannah inside Arusha National Park. Wildlife sightings possible. Overnight at Miriakamba Hut (2,514m).
Day 3: Miriakamba Hut – Slow Ascent Hike – Return
Gradual acclimatization hike toward Saddle zone, then return to Miriakamba Hut for rest.
Day 4: Miriakamba Hut – Saddle Hut
Steady climb through forest and moorland to Saddle Hut (3,570m). Afternoon short acclimatization walk.
Day 5: High Altitude Acclimatization Hike (Little Meru Zone)
Short but higher altitude hike for oxygen adaptation, then return for rest.
Day 6: Descent – Momella Gate – Arusha
Slow descent through forest to Momella Gate and transfer to hotel for full recovery before Kilimanjaro.
Kilimanjaro Trek – Marangu Route (7 Days – Extended Climb)
Day 7: Marangu Gate – Mandara Hut
Begin climb via Marangu Gate through rainforest to Mandara Hut (2,720m).
Day 8: Mandara Hut – Horombo Hut
Ascend through moorland with views of Mawenzi Peak. Overnight at Horombo Hut (3,720m).
Day 9: Acclimatization Day – Horombo Hut
Full rest or hike to Zebra Rocks (4,000m) for altitude adjustment.
Day 10: Horombo Hut – Slow Acclimatization Hike
Optional hike to higher zone and return for recovery (improves oxygen adaptation).
Day 11: Horombo Hut – Kibo Hut
Trek across alpine desert to Kibo Hut (4,700m). Early rest before summit attempt.
Day 12: Summit Day – Uhuru Peak – Horombo Hut
Midnight ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895m). Celebrate achievement and descend to Horombo Hut.
Day 13: Horombo Hut – Marangu Gate
Final descent through rainforest to Marangu Gate. Certificate ceremony and transfer to hotel.
Day 14: Departure or Safari Extension
Transfer to airport or continue to safari or beach holiday in Zanzibar.
