Marangu Route 4 days package
4 Days Mount Kilimanjaro Trekking Package via Marangu Route
The Marangu Route 4 Days Package is a classic Mount Kilimanjaro adventure designed for travelers who want to experience Africa’s highest mountain within a compact itinerary. Known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” the Marangu Route is one of the most established trekking routes on Kilimanjaro and is distinguished by its mountain hut accommodation.
This four-day package takes you from the lower slopes of Kilimanjaro through lush montane rainforest, open moorland, alpine desert, and finally to the summit zone. The highlight of the journey is the challenging ascent to Uhuru Peak at 5,895 metres (19,341 feet), the highest point in Africa.
The four-day schedule is a short and demanding itinerary with limited acclimatization time. It is therefore most appropriate for well-prepared trekkers who are comfortable with long hiking days and rapid elevation gain.

Fitness and Preparation
The four-day Marangu Route is a demanding high-altitude trek. The summit day involves a significant elevation gain followed by a long descent, making endurance and preparation particularly important.
We recommend preparing with regular hiking, walking, stair climbing, cardiovascular exercise, and strength training before your trip.
Altitude affects individuals differently, regardless of physical fitness. Trekkers should maintain a slow and steady pace, stay hydrated, eat properly, and report any concerning symptoms to their guide immediately.
The guide may recommend descending or ending the ascent if continuing would compromise the trekker’s safety.
Best Time to Book the Marangu Route
Kilimanjaro can be climbed throughout the year, but the generally preferred trekking periods are the drier seasons:
-
January to March
-
June to October
Weather conditions can change quickly on Kilimanjaro. Trekkers should be prepared for rain at lower elevations, cold temperatures at higher elevations, and potentially freezing conditions near the summit.
