Day 1: Rongai Gate to First Cave Camp (2,650m/8,694ft)
Meet your guide and porters at the Rongai Gate (1,950m/6,398ft).
Register with the Kilimanjaro National Park authorities.
Begin your trek through the rainforest towards the First Cave Camp.
The hike will take approximately 4-6 hours.
Set up camp at the First Cave Camp and rest for the night.
Day 2: First Cave Camp to Third Cave Camp (3,870m/12,696ft)
After breakfast, continue your ascent through the moorland zone.
Pass the Second Cave Camp and proceed directly to the Third Cave Camp.
This portion of the hike takes about 6-8 hours.
Arrive at the Third Cave Camp and rest for the night.
Day 3: Third Cave Camp to Kibo Hut (4,700m/15,420ft)
Wake up early and have breakfast.
Begin the hike towards Kibo Hut, which is the base camp for the summit attempt.
The trek will take around 4-6 hours and involves crossing the lunar desert.
Reach Kibo Hut and rest in preparation for the summit push.
Day 4: Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak (5,895m/19,341ft) and descent to Marangu Gate
Wake up around midnight for a light snack and to prepare for the summit attempt.
Start the ascent to Gilman's Point (5,681m/18,638ft) on the crater rim.
From Gilman's Point, continue along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.
Celebrate your achievement and take photos at the summit.
Descend back to Kibo Hut for a short rest and to collect your belongings.
Continue the descent to Marangu Gate (1,860m/6,102ft).
Complete the necessary paperwork and receive your summit certificate.
Say goodbye to your guides and porters before departing.
