This combined itinerary takes you through Mount Meru first for perfect acclimatization, followed by the world-famous Mount Kilimanjaro via your preferred route (Machame or Lemosho). 🗓️ DAY 1: Arrival in Arusha / Moshi Trek Briefing & Gear Check
You arrive in Arusha or Moshi, meet your mountain guides, and receive a full briefing about both climbs. Gear is checked, missing items can be rented, and you rest overnight before beginning the Meru ascent.
🗓️ DAY 2: Arusha to Momella Gate to Miriakamba Hut (2,500m)

Start at Momella Gate (1,500m) in Arusha National Park.

Enjoy a scenic trek through forests, waterfalls, and wildlife zones buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and colobus monkeys.

Arrive at Miriakamba Hut for dinner and overnight.
🗓️ DAY 3: Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut (3,570m)
A steep but rewarding climb through lush forest and into the heather zone. You reach Saddle Hut in the afternoon and optionally hike to Little Meru (3,820m) for acclimatization and panoramic sunset views.
🗓️ DAY 4: SUMMIT DAY Saddle Hut to Socialist Peak (4,562m) to Miriakamba to Momella Gate to Moshi/Arusha

Midnight start for the summit attempt.

Climb the narrow crater ridge to Socialist Peak (4,562m) while enjoying dramatic views of Meru Crater.

Descend to Saddle and then down to Momella Gate.

Transfer to your hotel for rest and preparation for Kilimanjaro.
🌄 REST DAY (Optional but Recommended)
A relaxing rest day allows your body to fully recover before the Kilimanjaro ascent. Massage, hydration, and easy walks recommended.
🏔️ KILIMANJARO TREK BEGINS (Choose Machame or Lemosho Route)
Below is the 6-Day Machame example; can adjust to 7 or 8 days.
🗓️ DAY 5: Moshi to Machame Gate to Machame Camp (2,835m)
Begin trekking through dense rainforest with lots of birdlife and rich vegetation before reaching Machame Camp for overnight.
🗓️ DAY 6: Machame Camp to Shira Camp (3,750m)
The trail climbs up steep ridges into the heather zone, offering breath-taking views across the Shira Plateau.
🗓️ DAY 7: Shira Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp (3,950m)
This acclimatization day takes you up to Lava Tower (4,630m) and down to Barranco Camp for rest under the iconic Barranco Wall.
🗓️ DAY 8: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp (4,050m)
Climb the thrilling Barranco Wall, cross ridges and valleys, and reach Karanga Camp—perfect for acclimatization before summit night.
🗓️ DAY 9: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (4,680m)
Arrive at Barafu, rest, eat early dinner, and prepare for the midnight summit attempt.
🗓️ DAY 10: SUMMIT DAY – Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) to Mweka Camp

Begin summiting around midnight.

Reach Stella Point, then continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.

Celebrate, take photos, then descend to Mweka Camp for overnight.
🗓️ DAY 11: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate to Transfer to Arusha/Moshi
Descend through the rainforest to Mweka Gate, receive your summit certificates, and return to your hotel for a well-earned rest.
🗓️ DAY 12: Departure / Zanzibar Extension (Optional)
Relax at the hotel or continue your adventure with a beach holiday in Zanzibar.
