5 Days Meru & 10 Days Machame Route

Experience an extraordinary 15-day mountain adventure in Tanzania with the 5 Days Meru & 10 Days Machame Route, an exciting trekking combination designed for travelers seeking spectacular mountain scenery, challenging hiking trails, wildlife encounters, and unforgettable summit experiences.

Organized by Kilinge Adventures, this adventure combines five days exploring Mount Meru, Tanzania’s second-highest mountain, with a ten-day extended trekking experience on Mount Kilimanjaro via the famous Machame Route.

Your journey begins at Mount Meru, located within Arusha National Park. Rising to 4,566 meters above sea level, Mount Meru offers an exciting combination of tropical forests, volcanic landscapes, wildlife habitats, and spectacular mountain viewpoints. After completing Mount Meru, your adventure continues to Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain at 5,895 meters. The Machame Route, commonly known as the Whiskey Route, is celebrated for its beautiful landscapes, diverse ecological zones, and impressive views of Kilimanjaro’s southern slopes.

Unlike the traditional six- or seven-day Machame itinerary, this ten-day trekking package allows additional time for acclimatization, scenic exploration, and a more gradual trekking schedule. The extended itinerary is designed to provide a carefully paced adventure while exploring the rainforest, Shira Plateau, Lava Tower, Barranco Valley, and the spectacular summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.

With experienced mountain guides, organized trekking support, and carefully planned daily activities, Kilinge Adventures provides an exciting opportunity to discover two of Tanzania’s most remarkable mountains.

Important: This is a proposed customized itinerary, not a standard published Machame Route schedule. Additional camps, overnight stays, and acclimatization activities must be confirmed with Kilimanjaro National Park before the itinerary can be sold or operated.
