Meru 3 Days + Marangu Route 6 Days – Perfect Acclimatization Trek
Overview
The Meru 3 days Marangu Route 6 days itinerary is one of the best-balanced trekking combinations in Tanzania. It starts with a 3-day acclimatization hike on Mount Meru, followed by a 6-day summit climb on Mount Kilimanjaro via the Marangu Route.
This package is ideal for climbers who want better acclimatization than short itineraries, but still prefer a time-efficient and comfortable trek with hut accommodation.
Why Choose Meru 3 Days + Marangu Route 6 Days?
- Strong acclimatization advantage before Kilimanjaro
- Higher summit success rate than 5-day climbs
- Experience two mountains in one trip
- Enjoy wildlife trekking in Arusha National Park
- Comfortable hut-based trekking on Marangu Route
Important Note
The 3-day Mount Meru trek is typically a partial trek (not full summit), but it reaches high enough altitude to significantly improve acclimatization before Kilimanjaro.
