Moshi/Arusha → Momella Gate → Miriakamba Hut
Start early in the morning from Moshi or Arusha and drive to Momella Gate, where you will complete registration and meet your professional guide and armed ranger. After a short briefing, begin your trek through the beautiful forest of Mount Meru. Along the way, you may see wildlife such as giraffes, buffaloes, warthogs, and various bird species.
Continue hiking through the forest as the trail gradually climbs towards Miriakamba Hut. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings, fresh mountain air, and changing vegetation along the route. Upon arrival at Miriakamba Hut, have dinner, relax, and prepare for the next day's trek.Miriakamba Hut → Saddle Hut → Socialist Peak → Momella Gate → Moshi/Arusha
Start early from Miriakamba Hut and continue hiking towards Saddle Hut. The trail passes through forest and moorland, with beautiful views of Mount Meru and the surrounding landscapes. After a short rest at Saddle Hut, continue towards Socialist Peak for a rewarding mountain experience and panoramic views.
After enjoying the summit area, begin the descent back through the trail towards Momella Gate. Once you reach the gate, meet your vehicle and drive back to Moshi or Arusha, where you can rest and prepare for the Machame Route adventure.Moshi/Arusha → Machame Gate → Machame Camp
After breakfast, depart from Moshi or Arusha and drive to Machame Gate. Complete the registration and meet your mountain guide before starting the trek. The trail begins through the lush rainforest, where you can enjoy tall trees, fresh mountain air, and beautiful natural surroundings.
Continue hiking uphill through the forest as the landscape gradually changes. After several hours of trekking, arrive at Machame Camp, where you will have time to relax, enjoy dinner, and spend the night surrounded by the peaceful mountain environment.Machame Camp → Shira Camp → Barranco Camp
Begin the day after breakfast and leave Machame Camp, continuing through the changing landscapes of Mount Kilimanjaro. The trail climbs from the forest into open moorland, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the higher slopes of Kilimanjaro.
Continue towards the Shira Plateau before making your way toward Barranco Camp. Enjoy the dramatic mountain scenery and unique vegetation along the route. Upon reaching Barranco Camp, have dinner, relax, and spend the night preparing for the final day of the trek.Barranco Camp → Machame Gate → Moshi/Arusha
Start the final day after breakfast and begin your descent from Barranco Camp. Follow the trail through the mountain vegetation as the landscape gradually changes from higher-altitude terrain back into the rainforest. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and fresh mountain air along the way.
Continue descending until you reach Machame Gate, where you will complete the necessary exit procedures and meet your vehicle. From the gate, drive back to Moshi or Arusha, marking the end of your Meru 2 Days Machame 3 Days Expedition.
