Day 1 – Moshi / Arusha to Marangu Gate – Mandara Hut

After registration at Marangu Gate (1,870m), hike through the lush rainforest with birds and monkeys. Porters carry your luggage to Mandara Hut (2,700m) for overnight.

Day 2 – Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

Continue through forest and open heathland with scenic views of Mawenzi Peak. Porters move ahead with equipment and supplies. Overnight at Horombo Hut (3,720m).

Day 3 – Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate
