Average 2 Days Safari Price in Tanzania

The average price of a 2-day safari in Tanzania varies depending on the destination, accommodation, transport, group size, and type of safari. Shared group safaris are generally more affordable, while private and premium safaris usually cost more because they offer greater flexibility and comfort.

The price may include park entry fees, accommodation, meals, game drives, transport, and a professional guide. When comparing safari prices, check the services included in each package so you can choose an option that matches your budget and travel preferences.

What Affects the 2 Days Safari Price?

The price of a 2-day safari in Tanzania is affected by several factors, including the national parks visited, type of accommodation, transport, and number of travelers. A private safari usually costs more than a shared safari, while budget campsites are generally less expensive than mid-range or premium lodges.

Other costs may include park entry fees, meals, professional guide services, game drives, and transfers. The time of year can also influence prices, especially during busy travel periods. Comparing different packages and checking what is included can help you find a safari that suits your budget.

Is a 2 Days Safari Worth the Price?

A 2-day safari can be a practical choice for travelers who want to experience Tanzania’s wildlife without spending many days on safari. It gives you the opportunity to visit destinations such as Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, enjoy game drives, and see a variety of wildlife while keeping the trip relatively short.

The value of the safari depends on your budget, travel time, accommodation preference, and the experiences you want. By comparing packages and checking what is included, you can choose a 2-day safari that provides the level of comfort and activities you are looking for.

How to Get the Best 2 Days Safari Price

To get a suitable price for a 2-day safari, compare different safari packages and check what each one includes. Look at the park fees, accommodation, meals, transport, game drives, and guide services rather than choosing a package based only on the advertised price. Shared safaris can also be a more affordable option than private trips.

Choosing budget or mid-range accommodation and traveling with a small group can help control costs. Booking in advance and discussing your preferred budget with the safari operator can also help you find a package that matches your needs without unnecessary expenses.

Who Should Consider a 2 Days Safari?

A 2-day safari is ideal for travelers who have limited time but still want to experience Tanzania’s wildlife and national parks. It is suitable for couples, solo travelers, families, friends, and visitors looking for a short wildlife adventure without committing to a longer safari.

It can also suit travelers who want to combine a safari with other Tanzania experiences such as Mount Kilimanjaro or Zanzibar. With shared, private, budget, and mid-range options available, travelers can choose a package based on their schedule, budget, and preferred level of comfort.

Final Thoughts on 2 Days Safari Price

The price of a 2-day safari in Tanzania depends on the destination, accommodation, transport, group size, and services included. Comparing different packages can help you understand what you are paying for and choose an option that fits your budget and travel preferences.

A 2-day safari provides a convenient way to enjoy Tanzania’s wildlife within a short period. Whether you choose a shared, private, budget, or mid-range safari, checking the inclusions and planning your trip carefully can help you enjoy a comfortable and memorable experience.

Day 1

Moshi/Arusha → Tarangire National Park

The safari starts with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha. You travel toward Tarangire National Park, enjoying views of the Tanzanian countryside before entering the park. Once inside, you begin your first game drive and start exploring the park’s wildlife and landscapes.

Tarangire is well known for its elephants, baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. During the game drive, you may see giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, lions, warthogs, antelopes, and many bird species. Your guide will help you search for wildlife and explain the different animals and natural surroundings.

After the game drive, you leave Tarangire and travel to your overnight accommodation. Depending on your selected package, you may stay at a campsite, budget lodge, or mid-range lodge. Accommodation, meals, transport, park fees, and guide services are among the factors that influence the total 2-day safari price.
Day 2

Tarangire Area → Ngorongoro Crater → Moshi/Arusha

After breakfast, you continue toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. The crater is surrounded by impressive highlands and contains grasslands, forests, wetlands, and a lake, creating a rich environment for different wildlife species.

During your crater game drive, you may see lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, and many bird species. With some luck, you may also spot a black rhino. Your guide will help you explore the crater while providing information about the wildlife and landscape.

After the game drive, you begin your return journey to Moshi or Arusha. The safari ends with a drop-off at your hotel or another agreed location. The final price depends on the package selected, including accommodation, park fees, transport, meals, game drives, and whether the safari is private or shared.
