Day 1

Day 1: Momella Gate to Miriakamba Hut

Your adventure begins at Momella Gate, where you will complete park registration before starting your trek through the diverse landscapes of Arusha National Park. Accompanied by an armed ranger, follow scenic trails through open grasslands and lush montane forests rich in wildlife. Along the way, you may encounter giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes, and a variety of bird species. The trail gradually ascends to Miriakamba Hut, where you will enjoy dinner and your first overnight stay on the mountain.

Day 2

Day 2: Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut

After breakfast, continue your ascent through dense forest and heathland vegetation toward Saddle Hut. As you gain altitude, enjoy spectacular views of Meru Crater, the dramatic Ash Cone, and the surrounding landscapes of Arusha National Park. Upon arrival at Saddle Hut, you can relax and prepare for the early morning summit attempt.

Day 3: Socialist Peak Summit – Momella Gate – Transfer

An early pre-dawn start leads you to the summit of Socialist Peak (4,566m), the highest point of Mount Meru. Reach the summit in time for sunrise and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Meru Crater, and the vast plains below. After celebrating your achievement, descend via Saddle Hut and continue to Momella Gate. Upon arrival, transfer to Moshi for rest and preparation for your Kilimanjaro climb.

Day 4: Machame Gate to Machame Camp

After breakfast, transfer to Machame Gate for registration and trek briefing. Begin your Kilimanjaro ascent through lush rainforest filled with giant trees, colorful birds, and unique mountain vegetation. The trail steadily climbs to Machame Camp, located on the edge of the forest zone.

Day 5

Day 5: Machame Camp to Shira Camp

After celebrating your remarkable achievement, descend to Barafu Camp for a short rest before continuing to Mweka Camp for your final night on the mountain.
