Best Time for 2 Days Tarangire Safari

Tarangire is a year-round safari destination, but the experience changes with the seasons. TANAPA identifies June–October as the main dry season, with additional dry conditions in January–February; November–December brings short rains, while March–May is the long-rain period.

Season Months What to Expect
Dry Season June–October Excellent general wildlife viewing and animals gathering around water sources
Short Rains November–December Green landscapes and fresh vegetation
Short Dry Period January–February Generally warm and relatively dry conditions
Long Rains March–May Lush scenery, occasional heavy rain and fewer visitors

For travelers mainly interested in wildlife, the dry season is a particularly popular time because animals often concentrate around reliable water sources.
