Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut

The trail starts in the beautiful montane rainforest, surrounded by tall trees, dense vegetation, birds, and fresh mountain air. The gradual ascent gives you time to settle into the trekking pace while your guide explains the environment and assists you along the trail.
After approximately several hours of hiking, you reach Mandara Hut, where you have time to rest, enjoy your meal, and relax before the next day's longer trek.
